Lantau Island , based on the old local name of Lantau Peak , is the largest island in Hong Kong, located at the mouth of the Pearl River. Administratively, most of Lantau Island is part of the Islands District of Hong Kong.
This is a really interesting shot. Not only is the perspective amazing, but there is a real "yin-and-yang" feeling to it (very appropriate for a Chinese location). You have massive buildings (representing the urban environment) and beautiful mountains (representing the rural environment) in the same place, yet the former is perfectly nestled withing the latter (both in the location itself and captured in this image), demonstrating that opposing forces really can work together an produce a magnificent result. Excellent work
